Support CIPHER

Free, ad-free, and always will be.

CIPHER is a handmade daily word puzzle. It is free, it has no ads, and nothing in the game is behind a payment.

It is made by one person. Not a studio, not a team, not a company with a marketing budget. Just me, building a puzzle I wanted to exist and paying the bills that keep it running.

If it has become part of your day and you would like to help cover what it costs to build and run, you can do that here. It is entirely optional, it is genuinely appreciated, and every bit of it goes back into keeping CIPHER going.

What a donation is, and is not

Donations are made to Blocks Foundry LLC, the company that makes CIPHER.

Blocks Foundry LLC is a for-profit company, not a registered charity or a 501(c)(3). Your donation is not tax-deductible.

You receive no goods, services, features, or in-app benefits in exchange. CIPHER is exactly the same app whether you donate or not, and we have no way to tell which players have donated.

Donations are made on this website, not in the app. Apple is not a party to them.

Payment, cancellation and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. CIPHER never sees or stores your card details.

A monthly donation continues until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal, signing in with the email address you donated with, or from the link in any Stripe receipt, or by emailing support@playcipher.app. Cancelling stops future payments; it does not refund past ones.

Donations are non-refundable. If something went wrong, like a duplicate charge or the wrong amount, email support@playcipher.app and we will sort it out.

You must be 18 or older to donate, and use a payment method you are authorised to use.

If you cannot find this in the app

The link to this page appears in CIPHER's settings only on the United States App Store, because that is where the App Store rules permit it. That is decided by the storefront your Apple Account belongs to, not by where you are. You may be in the US and still not see it. This page works for everyone either way.
